Ancient Greek kitchens were simple yet functional. They were usually located in the courtyard or a separate room adjacent to the main living area. Adding a dedicated pasta-making station to an ancient Greek kitchen would have been an interesting concept. Although pasta as we know it today was not part of ancient Greek cuisine, they did have a similar dish called 'lagana' which was a type of flatbread. Having a designated area for making lagana or experimenting with pasta-making techniques would have added versatility to the ancient Greek kitchen.
