Ancient Indian kitchens were vibrant and filled with aromatic spices. They were usually located in a separate area of the house, away from the living spaces. Adding a dedicated pasta-making station to an ancient Indian kitchen would have been an interesting fusion of cuisines. While pasta is not traditionally part of Indian cuisine, the concept of making flatbreads like roti or paratha is similar. Having a designated area for making pasta or experimenting with Indian-inspired pasta dishes would have added a unique touch to the ancient Indian kitchen.
