The Museo dell'Ara Pacis is an art museum located in Rome that is dedicated to the Ara Pacis, an ancient Roman altar that was built in 13 BC. The museum contains the original altar as well as a collection of other ancient Roman artifacts. The museum is housed in a modern building designed by the famous architect Richard Meier.
