Norwegian Wood is a Vietnamese-Japanese film adaptation of Haruki Murakami's novel of the same name. Directed by Tran Anh Hung, the film follows the story of a young man named Toru Watanabe who reminisces about his youth and his relationships with two women, Naoko and Midori. Set in 1960s Tokyo and later in rural Japan, Norwegian Wood explores themes of love, loss, and coming of age. The film beautifully captures the melancholic atmosphere of Murakami's novel, while also incorporating elements of Vietnamese culture and history.
