Chocolate Appam is a decadent twist on the traditional appam. To make Chocolate Appam using a food processor, grind soaked rice, grated coconut, cocoa powder, and sugar together to form a smooth batter. Ferment the batter and cook it in a special appam pan. The addition of cocoa powder gives the appam a rich chocolatey flavor. Serve hot with a dusting of powdered sugar or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
