While not technically in Munich, Neuschwanstein Castle is a must-visit for anyone traveling to the city. The castle is located about two hours outside of Munich and is one of the most famous castles in the world. It was built by King Ludwig II in the 19th century and is said to have inspired the design of the Disney castle. The castle is surrounded by beautiful scenery and is a great place to take a day trip from Munich.
