Jaggery Gulab Jamuns are made using jaggery (unrefined cane sugar) instead of regular sugar. The jaggery is melted and mixed with khoya, flour, and a pinch of baking soda to make the dough. The rest of the process remains the same, with deep-frying and soaking in jaggery syrup flavored with cardamom and rose water. Jaggery Gulab Jamuns have a distinct caramel-like flavor and are a healthier alternative to the traditional ones.
